Service & Coverage
- Nationwide delivery throughout the UK is available for oak beams.
- Beams under 2.5 m in length and up to 40 kg are usually shipped via overnight courier.
- Heavier or longer beams are delivered via the pallet distribution network. Delivery cost depends on beam length and postcode.
- Orders weighing less than 1 tonne and up to 6 m in length may be delivered directly by OakbeamUK.
- For unusual dimensions or special delivery requirements, please contact us for a quote.
Cost & Quotation
- Delivery charges are calculated per order based on weight, dimensions, and delivery postcode.
- Any quoted delivery cost is binding once accepted and included in the order.
- If we propose a different delivery method to meet timing constraints or logistical limitations, we will notify you before dispatch.
Timing & Scheduling
- We endeavour to dispatch orders as promptly as possible; standard delivery times apply, but may vary.
- Prior to delivery, we may contact you to confirm suitable delivery windows or arrangements, especially in the case of large or palletised deliveries.
- All deliveries are to kerbside only: the driver will place goods at the edge of your property (road, drive, or agreed drop-off point). Offloading beyond kerbside is at your discretion and risk.
Risk & Acceptance
- Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.
- Title (ownership) does not pass until we have received full payment.
- On delivery, you (or another person aged 18+) must sign for the goods and note any visible damage or shortage.
- You are responsible for checking all goods against the delivery note at the time of delivery.
Damaged or Faulty Goods on Arrival
- Immediately inspect goods in the presence of the driver.
- If damage is evident, record it on the driver’s paperwork and notify us promptly.
- We may ask for photographic evidence and/or return of the damaged goods.
- Provided that you notify us in a timely manner and follow our instructions, we will repair, replace, or refund the defective portion as appropriate.
- We cannot guarantee to rectify items that have been repaired by third parties without authorisation or where non-company components have been applied.
